Appointment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

We value your time and deeply appreciate you choosing to create with us. When you book a session at Shape Theory Studio, you are reserving a spot on our schedule that is no longer available to others.

Shape Theory Studio is independently owned and operated by two working artists, and all classes, events, firings, and studio operations are managed by us directly. Because of our small team size and appointment-based structure, schedule changes, cancellations, and no-shows have a significant impact on how we operate. These policies help ensure we can continue offering thoughtful, high-quality experiences in a sustainable way.

Refunds

• All sales are final. Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the discretion of the studio owners.
  
  

• The cost of your session covers the experience itself. While we strive for each participant to leave with one finished, functional piece, this is not guaranteed. No refunds (partial or full) will be issued if a piece does not turn out as expected.
  
  

Cancellations & No-Shows

• Cancellations are non-refundable.
  
  

• No-shows are not eligible for refunds, rescheduling, or vouchers, regardless of circumstance.
  
  

• This policy applies to unexpected life events, schedule changes, or missed appointments.
  
  

Rescheduling

• Appointments may be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the start of your session using the link in your confirmation email.
  
  

• Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of your appointment cannot be accommodated.
  
  

• Our calendar fills quickly, and while we’ll do our best to find a new time, flexibility may be required.
  
  

Workshops & Special Events

• Workshop tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
  
  

• Private events are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled with a minimum of 10 days’ notice, subject to availability.
  
  

Party Attendance

• No refunds will be issued for members of your party who are unable to attend.
  
  

• If we are notified prior to the session, a voucher for a future communal class may be offered at the studio’s discretion.
  
  

• Guests who do not attend without prior notice will be considered a no-call, no-show and will not be eligible for a voucher.
  
  

Pick-Up Window

• You will be notified when your piece is ready for pick-up.
  
  

• Pieces not collected within the designated pick-up window may be donated.
  
  

• No refunds will be issued for missed pick-ups, including missed emails or notifications landing in spam or alternate folders.
  
  

Late Arrivals

• Please allow extra time for parking.
  
  

• If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate your session, and it will be treated as a no-show.
  
  

Final Note

We truly appreciate your understanding and respect for these policies. They allow us to continue running Shape Theory Studio with care, intention, and attention to each person who walks through our doors.
